This two-day event will be held at the Queenswood Retreat & Conference Centre were we will look at the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (commonly known as the DSM-IV-TR). The objective of these two days is to help the Hypnotherapist develop a strong working understanding of psychiatric concepts and processes in order to have them better serve their clients. We will examine the DSM-IV-TR, review basic diagnostic terminology, and explore the evaluation process according to the DSM-IV-TR criteria. Common Mental Disorders such as Substance-Related Disorders (Addictions), Mood Disorders (Depression, BiPolar), Anxiety Disorders and Personality Disorders etc. will be discussed as it relates to the practice of Hypnotherapy.
A detailed workbook will be included.

This is an advanced seminar. Prerequisite is a Master of Clinical Hypnotherapy (or equivalent) and Certification as a Hypnotherapist. Certified Members of ARCH or IMDHA will be eligible to receive a "Speciality Certification" designation upon successful completion of the seminar exam.
